5 Ways To Keep Your Cool This Summer

Summers are hotter than ever, but that doesn't mean you have to lose your cool. Here are 5 ways to keep cool and calm all summer long.
- Hydrate! - This one may seem obvious, but lots of folks still get sick from dehydration every year. Make sure you have plenty of water and other beverages like coconut water or your favorite electrolyte drink as well as hydrating fruits and veggies.
- Get in the Water - If you live near a body of water take advantage of it! Swim, paddle board, surf or just wade!
- Take Time for Gratitude - Summer moments can be precious - watching your kid splash in the pool, camping with family, watching a gorgeous sunset. Take a minute to appreciate it every day.
- Lean into Summer Produce - Eating seasonal produce is a great way to fight inflammation, which can cause long-term damage to your cells and body.
- Have a Cooling Plan - Even if you don't have air conditioning, you can mitigate the heat by closing curtains during peak sun, taking advantage of basements and fans. Make sure you have a plan for when heat strikes. And consider local cooling stations if your home gets too hot.
