Spring is finally peeking through the clouds and damp earth, as spring flowers pop up, birds start to chirp, and the frost starts to melt. That means it's time to get outside and enjoy some spring adventures, whether that's planting seeds or just enjoying the fresh spring air on a stroll. We've got all our top picks to keep you moving and ready for anything that comes your way this spring in this month's newsletter.

Here are some of our top springtime picks:
1. It's easy to forget how important iodine is for thyroid health. Most table salt is fortified with it, but if you use sea salt, you may not be getting enough to support your thyroid and therefore, your energy and metabolism. Get it from a sustainable source with Bluebonnet Atlantic Sea Kelp Iodine.
2. Don't let PMS slow you down this spring. Magnesium, ginger and B6 are shown to help alleviate PMS symptoms and can be found together in Life Extensions Daily PMS Relief.
3. Feeling those spring allergies creep up? Silver may help. Argengyne 23 has created a silver hydrosol nasal spray to help lower inflammation and clear your nasal passages.
4. Still dealing with dry skin after a long, cold winter? Mad Hippie Ultra Rich Barrier Cream has all the best ingredients to nourish, moisturize and revitalize your skin naturally this spring.
5. Start your day with a shot of Life Gold - a unique liquid multivitamin with added nutrients from fruits and veggies.
6. Glucosamine chondroitin supports joint health. Doctor's Best has created a highly absorbable formula to help keep you moving and healthy this spring.
7. Zinc is important for everything from your immune system to hormone health to skin health, but many of us don't get enough. If you think you might need a zinc boost, try Thorne's Zinc Picolinate.
8. Getting a good night's sleep is essential to have the energy you need to take on spring adventures. If you're having trouble getting those Zs MRM Melatonin is here to help.
*It's always a good idea to consult your healthcare provider when taking new supplements. This newsletter is not intended to treat or diagnose any medical conditions.

Are you coming out of winter hibernation and looking for ways to boost your energy and get ready for spring adventures? Here are my top 5 tips as a dietitian for boosting energy this spring:
1. Eat plenty of whole grains - Our bodies are made to run on carbs - our heart, brain and muscles all naturally run on carbs and they do best with complex carbs that are released slowly over time.
2. Get your B vitamins - B vitamins are needed for all the metabolic processes that make energy in our bodies. Luckily, whole grains are rich in B vitamins, as are beans, nuts, seeds, meat and fish. If you're vegan, you'll want to get a fortified or supplemental form of B12.
3. Get that vitamin D - Vitamin D can help boost mood and immunity. Try strolling in the spring sun if possible. Otherwise, supplements and fortified foods are great sources.
4. Make sure you're getting enough iron - Iron deficiency is very common, especially in menstruating women, and fatigue is one of the main symptoms. Make sure you're getting plenty of iron from both animal sources like meat and fish and plant sources like beans and leafy greens paired with vitamin C. If you're still low, consider a supplement.
5. Move your body daily - It seems counter-intuitive, but moving your body not only expends energy, it helps you feel more energetic. Start small if you haven't been exercising much lately - with walks or gardening and add in more vigorous activities as you're able. You'll eventually feel more energetic overall.
